Our client is looking for a detail-oriented professional with metal fabrication knowledge who can interpret technical drawings, calculate costs accurately, manage multiple quote requests, and communicate effectively with customers and production teams.

Pay Rate:  $24/hour-$28/hour, based on experience

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm

Job Title: Metal Fabrication Project Estimator

Location: Oshkosh, WI (on-site)

Responsibilities: 

You will prepare accurate cost estimates and quotes for custom metal fabrication projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, material requirements, labor needs, and production processes. Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure quotes are complete, competitive, and achievable.

• Review customer specifications and quote requests 
• Estimate material, labor, tooling, and outside-processing costs 
• Prepare accurate and timely customer quotes 
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal departments 
• Maintain estimating records and follow up on open quotes 
• Support project handoff from estimating to production

Requirements: 

• Experience in estimating, manufacturing, or metal fabrication required
• Metal fabrication estimating experience and/or experience obtaining material and outside-service pricing is preferred
• Knowledge of welding, forming, laser cutting, and machining processes is a plus
• Strong computer skills required, any familiarity with ERP, estimating, or CAD software is ideal
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings 
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong organization and attention to detail 
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
