Purchasing & Materials Coordinator - $25ph+ (based on experience)
- 1st shift, Monday - Friday
- Located ONSITE in Manitowoc, WI
- Temporary - could become permanent for the right candidate
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional to support purchasing, inventory, receiving, and shipping activities within a manufacturing environment. This position will help ensure materials and supplies are available when needed for production while maintaining accurate inventory and purchasing records.
Key Responsibilities- Source materials and supplies, obtain quotes, and place purchase orders.
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, delivery, and quality.
- Expedite orders as needed to meet production schedules.
- Negotiate vendor pricing and terms and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain purchasing, receiving, inventory, and item master records.
- Review invoices and resolve pricing, receiving, or quantity discrepancies.
- Receive, inspect, identify, and properly store incoming materials.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and year-end inventory.
- Track material locations, usage, returns, credits, and replacements.
- Prepare packing lists, shipping documentation, receiving reports, and material records.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments using efficient and cost-effective shipping methods.

Requirements: 
|
- Previous purchasing, inventory, materials, or supply chain experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Associate degree in Materials Management, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred; bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with computerized purchasing and inventory systems.
- Strong communication and vendor relationship skills.
- Ability to prioritize changing production and material needs.
- Forklift experience or willingness to obtain required training.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively with multiple departments
