FINGER JOINT TABLE/CROWDER OPERATORS EARN $21.50/hour
Both roles require a technical understanding of the equipment and theory of operation. These roles are instrumental in meeting the daily production and quality goals.
STACKER OPERATORS
REQUIRES *Knowledge of Lumber Grading*
HOURS: 6:45am to 5:15pm, rotating Mon-Thurs & Mon-Fri
To join the team of our client as a Stacker Operator, you will collate and glue plies for laminated columns and beams per the production sheet to perform the following job duties:
- Perform calibration testing on machines
- Verify proper stamp is applied on every charge
- Maintain production records
- Monitor even planing on plies
- Adjust machine components according to specifications
- Monitor machine operations
- Verify the flying saw is set properly
- Responsible for end-of-shift cleanup
- And so much more!
FINGER JOINT TABLE/CROWDER OPERATOR
REQUIRES *Knowledge of Lumber Grading*
HOURS: 6:45am to 5:15pm, rotating Mon-Thurs & Mon-Fri
This role is to feed the correct species, grade, and accurate amount of lumber per the production sheet and to ensure quality finger joints are made, glue applied, and joints completed performing the following job duties:
- Load single boards on to the finger joint table in the proper sequence per the production sheets
- Must know and understand the lumber grading guidelines
- Must be able to understand and follow the daily production sheets
- Cut boards to standards when needed for knots, splits, wane, straightness
- Ensure finger joint cutters produce quality finger joints. Clean as required
- Ensure finger joint glue is applied adequately
- Check wood quality versus the required grade
- Spot check moisture on lumber
- Make sure all lumber is staple free
- Load boards into the Crowder ensuring the proper sequence, species, configuration, and proper glue spread
- Keep area clean and free from debris
- Cut back defect lumber and put in proper place
