Job Title: 1st shift Refrigerant Recycling Technician
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.
Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
Length: Temp to hire
Location: Green Bay
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in recycling, warehouse, or materials handling is a plus
- Basic understanding of electronic devices and components is helpful
- Stand for duration of shift and lift to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or industrial environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Responsibilities:
- Safely dismantle refrigerators, freezers, and other refrigerant-containing appliances
- Perform basic mechanical disassembly, including removal of compressors, copper tubing, insulation, and other recyclable components
- Identify and sort parts/materials for recycling (e.g., plastics, metals, electronics)
- Maintain detailed records of refrigerant recovery and appliance processing
- Inspect appliances for hazardous materials and handle accordingly
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on recovery tools and equipment
- Assist with general recycling center operations as needed
