Mortgage Compliance Officer (Part Time) - Temp to Hire - On Site in Wisconsin Rapids

Excellent Part Time opportunity in the banking field as a Mortgage Compliance Officer! Our Wisconsin Rapids client is seeking someone experienced in the Mortgage industry to support their growing compliance program. 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Mortgage Compliance Committee Support
  • Participating in monthly compliance meetings, including preparing meeting materials, tracking action items and maintaining meeting minutes
  • Coordinating submission for audit forms on a monthly, quarterly and per-occurrence basis
  • Maintaining compliance file
  • Preparing for monthly Board of Directors report

TRID/Loan Estimate & Closing Disclosure Compliance
  • Performing quarterly TRID compliance audits
  • Reviewing monthly samples of consumer loans for APR compliance and accuracy
  • Identifying and classifying APR overages
  • Working with Asurify digital compliance tool

HELOC Compliance Audits
  • Coordinating quarterly HELOC audits 
  • Verifying quarterly that POS system has necessary disclosures available and functionality
  • Ensuring HELOC notes show correct rate changes
  • Verifying GMI is collected only on HELOC applications for purchase or refinancing

Fair Lending & ECOA Compliance
  • Conducting quarterly Fair Lending audits
  • Issuing Adverse Action Notices
  • Assisting with Fair Lending risk assessments, data reviews and redlining analysis
  • Coordinating Fari Credit Compliance audits

Consumer Loan APR Audit
  • Conducting monthly consumer loan APR audits
  • Submitting findings to Mortgage Compliance Committees monthly

Training & Certification Tracking
  • Maintaining Monthly Mortgage Training Log
  • Administering the Training Compliance Checklist
  • Identifying staff members with outstanding required trainings 

Policy & Procedure Compliance
  • Maintaining and applying Mortgage Compliance Policy in all audit activities
  • Tracking and logging all loans closed out of policy
  • Performing quarterly amortization schedule audits
  • Assisting in monthly cost-to-originate analysis

Vendor & System Compliance
  • Monitoring system for compliance functionality
  • Documenting and escalating system deficiencies or compliance failures
  • Supporting vendor compliance monitoring for systems


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Length
  • Temporary to Hire

Schedule
  • Part Time hours, 20-30 hours/week
  • Will typically work between 8am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
  
Pay
  • Between $25-30/hour, based on experience

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in aeras such as mortgage or consumer lending compliance or bank regulatory experience
  • Community banking experience highly preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of banking regulations such as TRID, ECOA, HELOT, APR calculations, Fair Lending and Wisconsin DFI
  • Computer savvy, including experience with Microsoft 365, Mortgage systems, Loan Origination systems, and Core banking systems
  • Great attention to detail and analytical thinking
